Day 1 – Depart Vancouver (BC)

Overnight flight to Moscow via Frankfurt on board Lufthansa flight LH 493 at 4:00pm
Day 2 - Moscow |

Arrival in Frankfurt at 10:25am and connect your flight LH 3186 at 1:00pm to Moscow.
Arrive in Moscow at 6:05 pm.

Day 3 - Moscow |

•Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby.
•10:00 am Moscow city tour (3 hours). You will see: Moscow’s main streets, squares and places of interest: The Tverskaya street the most animated and saucy, the former headquarters of the KGB, The Bolshoy Theatre, Russian Duma also called White House, The Cathedral of Christ the Savior, The Red Square, The Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed and other major city sights.

•Free time for shopping or photo opportunities. 2:00 pm Continue the city tour with a Walking tour along the Arbat Street. (2 hours)
•4:00 pm Metro tour. You’ll see the legendary Moscow Metro with its mosaics and frescos.
•5:30 pm Return to the hotel. Free time.
•7:00 pm Optional evening performance at the Bolshoi theatre. |

Day 4. - Moscow |

•Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby.
•10:00 am Kremlin tour with visit to the Armory and Cathedrals. The Kremlin has always been perceived as a symbol of power and might of the Russian land. Each era of the Russian history left its architectural mark on the Kremlin. Within the Kremlin walls there are many architectural onuments, churches, cathedrals, museums, etc. 
•3:00 pm Return to the hotel.
•7:00 pm Free time or optional evening performance in the Russian circus. |

Day 5. - Moscow |

•Breakfast at the hotel.
•10:00 am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.
Excursion to the Tretyakov State Gallery - one of the world's largest museums, a treasure house of old Russian art from the 11th century till our days. The gallery bears the name of its founder, Pavel Tretyakov, who presented his collection to the city of Moscow in 1892. Now the museum holds more than 50000 works of painting, art and sculpture.
•2:00 pm Return to the hotel. Free time. |

Day 6. - Moscow. |

•Breakfast at the hotel.
•10:00 am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby.
Excursion to Sergiev Posad. The monastery houses the Russian Patriarch's temporary residence. In the monastery you will visit St.Trinity Cathedral where the shrine with St.Sergey's relics is stored, and the Assumption Cathedral that repeats its form after the Assumption Cathedral in the Kremlin. The most beautiful part of the monastery is represented by two similar constructions one of which is the Ecclesiastical Academy and Seminary and the other the Refectory with the Church of St.Sergiy.

•4:00 pm Return to the hotel. Free time for shopping. Picture taking.
•10:00pm Transfer to the railway station for your overnight train journey on board Red Arrow Express to St Petersburg. Depart Moscow around midnight. |

Day 7. - St.Petersburg |

•08:00 am - Arrival in St Petersburg. Meeting with a guide at railway station.
•09:00 am Breakfast at a local restaurant.
•10:00 am St Petersburg city tour – all major city attractions (3 hours). You will see the magnificent St.Isaac’s cathedral, Vasilyevsky island, The University, The Winter Palace, The Palace square, Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood, The square of Arts and other famous places and monuments.
•2:00 pm Transfer to the hotel – Pribaltijskaya Hotel 4****
•4:00 pm Excursion to Peter& Paul Fortress includes a visit to the Cathedral, which serves a Burial place of Romanov Dynasty of Russian Tsars.
•5:00 pm Transfer to the hotel. Free time. |

Day 8. - St.Petersburg |

•Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby.
•10:00 am Excursion to Hermitage Museum - one of the major museums in the world.
Its collection consists of nearly three million art treasures. Exhibits are displayed in the
world famous Winter palace as well as the Small, Old and New Hermitages.
•2:30 pm Return to hotel Free time for shopping, picture taking.
•7:00 pm Optional performance at the Mariinsky Theatre.

Day 9. - St. Petersburg. |

•10:00 am Excursion to Pushkin- Catherine’s Palace.
The Palace-and-Park Ensemble - a former residence of the Russian emperors - is a
spectacular monument of architecture and art of gardening of XVIII-XIX centuries. Its
three parks cover 600 ha housing over a hundred of buildings from magnificent palaces
and monuments to intimate pavilions and sculpture.
•4:00 pm Return to your hotel.
Free time for shopping or photo opportunities.
•7:00 pm Optional evening folk show at Nikolaevsky palace. |

Day 10. - St.Petersburg |

•Breakfast at the hotel.
•10:00 am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.
Transfer to Peterhof palace. The world-famous palace, fountain and park ensemble of Peterhof is an outstanding landmark of Russian artistic culture of the 18-19th centuries. Return to St.Petersburg.
•3:00 pm Free time for shopping, picture taking. Return to the hotel.

•4:00 am Transfer to the airport.
•6:40 am Departure by LH 3221 to Frankfurt.
•7:40 am Arrive in Frankfurt.
•1:15 pm Depart for Vancouver by LH 492 flight.
•2:00 pm Arrive In Vancouver.

- CANCELLATION POLICY
- From 90 days to 60 days before departure clients are entitled to tour costs returned minus $400 per person cancellation fee.
- From 60 to 25 days before departure clients are entitled to 50% of all tour costs to be returned.
- From 25 days on before departure clients are no longer entitled to any refund on all tour costs.
In order to access this policy the cancellation must be made in writing and forwarded to Maxima Travel International within the above described timeframes.
