On Dec 26th, I was traveling from Abbotsford to Halifax beginning on flight 254. At security, I couldn't get my electronic boarding pass to show. There was interference from some Internet provider. Security said that I would have to return to the agent and get a printed pass. This would have made me late for the flight. I was trying to get my boots, wade back through the crowd and pack up my stuff. At that point a West Jet employee who was traveling as a passenger, intervened, took my baggage claim and got my boarding pass. It was such a kind and thoughtful act that I was reminded how much I enjoy flying West Jet. so, thank you for that random act of kindness and thank for not being an impersonal company. Trudy Lebans

NOT TOO PLEASED WITH WESTJET'S SERVICE ON OUR LAST FLIGHT IN OCTOBER, 2011. WE FLEW FROM THUNDER BAY, TO TORONTO, TORONTO TO CUBA AND RETURN. ALL LANDINGS WERE VERY ROUGH. MY HUSBAND DOES NOT LIKE FLYING TO BEGIN WITH. ON OUR DEPARTURE FROM CUBA, THE WESTJET SYSTEM WAS DOWN, AND WE HAD TO STAND IN A LONG LINE WAITING FOR A MANUAL TICKET, WHICH WHEN WE GOT TO THE PLANE, WAS SEATS ON EITHER SIDE OF THE AISLE. LUCKILY THE WESTJET EMPLOYEE HEARD OUR COMPLAINTS BETWEEN EACH OTHER AND MOVED US TO SEATS BESIDE EACH OTHER, WHICH IS WHAT WE BOOKED IN THE FIRST PLACE (EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD TO BE BESIDE THE RESTROOM AT THE VERY BACK OF THE PLANE). WE TOO DID NOT LIKE THE COMENTARY FROM THE START OF THE FLIGHT, AS WE WERE TOLD "IF WE HAPPEN TO LOOSE OUR WINGS AND THE PLANE BECOMES A VESSEL" THEN HE WENT ON TO EXPLAIN THE USE OF THE LIFE JACKETS. NOT VERY GOOD FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT REALLY LIKE FLYING. WE HAD LIQUID BREAKABLES IN ONE OF OUR SUITCASES, AND THIS SUITCASE, WHEN WE CHECKED OUR LUGGAGE AGAIN THROUGH TORONTO WAS FINE. WHEN WE LANDED IN THUNDER BAY, WE OBTAINED OUR SUITCASE WITH A BAG ON IT, LEAKING QUITE A BIT. WE KNEW BY THE TRAIL OF LIQUID AS WE WHEELED THE SUITCASE TO THE CURB, THAT THE BREAK HAD HAPPENED UPON THE SUITCASE BEING REMOVED FROM THE PLANE IN THUNDER BAY. NOT IMPRESSED.

Discount airline = discount vacation. Is that really what you waited all year for? I don't mind flying short hauls with Westjet, but never again an entire vacation.

We certainly had a better holiday thanks to West Jet, Just minutes before take off to Ottawa, a pleasant flight attendant came to my husband and asked "Did you forget something?'. He had forgotten his wallet at our overnight accomodation, the hosts quickly brought the wallet to the W.J. desk and they got it to us just before take off. He would not have even had his drivers licence. So Thanks for the excellent service.

I think west jet like to hear there own voices. They never shut ulama then after 25 minutes of talking about stupid stuff they do it all again French. Who cares. Just shut up and let us sit in peace. I have to sneak my iPod so I don't have to listen anymore. West jet has made me not want to fly anymore Lost my bags twice in one year.

DO NOT FLY WESTJET!! I purchased DIRECT flights with them 6 months prior to my trip and then they go and change both flights of the return trip to connecting flights! False advertising. And when i called and explained that i booked direct with them for a reason, as other airlines that offer connecting are nothing but a hassle for me and not ever have flown WestJet, that this would be my first time giving them a chance. Well they didnt seem to care, they told me to go fly with another airline and that my money would be returned in full, and they wouldnt even let me talk to customer relations when i asked. Customer service here is horrible and therefore i will never ever be flying WestJet again and i will be making the recommendation to my entire company to not use them for business travel and to instead go with Air Canada who offer much better service.

WestJet's motto is that all the staff are also business owners, well thats a load of crap. These people do not offer any customer service and therefore do not seem to care what happens to their business. Don't even think they care if it went belly up and it will if they continue with this type of service.

I even went to WestJet's feedback form and submitted two forms, a week apart from each other requesting that Customer Relations contact me in regards to my terrible experience with their airline and all requests seem to have gone into a black hole as it has been several weeks and no contact has been made.

Beware if flying WestJet!! There are a number of better airlines out there. If you have to pay $100 more to fly with a carrier with better service i would suggest you do so.

I flew with WestJet a few years ago, and I went with my daughter, we were flying from Toronto, to Orlando. Our flight was delayed 12 hours. And my daughter, cried. I was upset, she was upset, and they got us in a hotel, that they paid for. But it did not make up for 2 days missed of our vacation. I am very dissapointed in WestJet. We could not even get a flight to Orlando that night. Very displeased.

Do you really think that a wait time of 25minutes(plus), as per your recording, is acceptable? Come on guys! The only way to redeem your Westjet credit on a reservation is to phone in and then be required to wait. Surely you could come up with a better system. I suggest more telephone agents or a code for a credit which could be applied to travel.

WestJet Review- by Rob & Theresa Deiter My husband and I travelled from Regina to Calgary, Calgary to Las Vegas July 6 to July 13 2011. I was in a leg cast and Jan from Regina set everything up for us as far as the comfortable leg room seating on the plane (connecting flight as well) to making sure their was a wheel chair ready for me. She answered all the questions and concerns we had. Just wanted to say thanks so much Jan for all your help. A big thank you also to the lady (sorry I didnt get your name) who when we landed in Calgary wheeled me and took us ALL the way to the customs area and then outside to get some air. Have never experienced such unbelievable great service!!!! A very big thanks to all of you including the stewardess who always asked if I was okay or comfortable. What my husband and I thought would be a nightmare travelling (being the situation I was in) turned out to be stress free!!!!! Thank you.

West Jet Flight 1187 out of Fort Myers to Toronto....also on the flight that had this incredible tire blown malfuntion. the Westjet team ( all things considered) handled it really well. Considering we were stuck in the back row, with 3 children, it was very difficult, but the other passengers and staff made it as easy as possible. The wait for the Luggage and Hotel voucher were long, but once again handled as best as possible. Had it been just my wife and I, would have been ok, but an emergency landing with the 3 kids under 6 is always difficult.. Thanks to an excellent pilot and crew. just glad to be back...
