1 hour and 42 minutes and counting on the phone......What a mess they have gotten themselves into!! I have a $300.00+ credit on my West Jet account and just want to spend it before I starting booking with Air Canada instead!! Come on guys! Get with it!

I'm traveling ( and my 3 yr-old) to Florida Jan 12, via Westjet and have my fingers crossed, hoping that things go well. I, to have been on hold (when first booked) for 2 hrs. I also wrote an email to Westjet, saying how frustrating it was to be on hold for sooo long, over a couple of days. They sent back a voucher for my next fight of 25$. Woopie-doo. I just wanted them to answer the phone! I finally was able to speak to someone and able to switch my flight. Sigh. I hope that the travel security allows me to bring on the plane stuff for my son.

Note: The last time my son & I traveled with Wesjet everything was GREAT! So helpful, kind. It's just the new customer service system (and not the people) that has us very frustrated.

I was on hold for one hour I tried to phone again and again and again,I was loosing the will to live here. I know i fly with air tango may be a little more expensive but good service and I get to speak to some body.

Westjet has dropped the ball when it came to changing the reservation system. No notification to those that already had reservations in place before the change over. How hard would it be to notifiy all those that have an existing profile what was going to happen and how to deal with the change over. All previous reservations are not available on line even if you sign up for a new profile leaving the only option open to phone. Now things are truly jammed up with all the phone calls from persons trying to find out what happen to their reservation this leading to hours of waiting or having your call returned ( who is going to put their life on hold to hear from Westjet). If this information had been carried over to the new system no body would have to phone to find out about the reservation ,they would see it on line. This is not good business, to bad Westjet was a good bet for travel. Some ones head should roll, this was not a well thought out process.

I have a different experience....I called and canceled a flight this morning and was VERY PLEASED with the operator...they cancelled my flight and gave a FULL REFUND!!! VERY HAPPY

been on hold for ever this is the worst service ever your service was great before you had this people answering your phones for reservations !! Will fly with people you can talk with on the phone and not wait 1 hour to talk to someone

Westjet equals bad service. No one will answer the phone and I too have waited so long on hold that my phone battery has died - twice!

By the looks of things, I am not the only one to be treated poorly! It would appear everyone is treated the same way! I have been a faithfull follower for the past 17 years, with flights from Vancouver to Regina for myself and my wife at lest 8 times a year. You would think with a faithful following, service might be a little better. Possibly the management and booking department should take a lesson from their flight attendants and show a little customer service. If this is reviewed by management, they can contact me at 604 816 8169 and I promise I will not put them on hold for 1 hour and 36 minutes as I have been. I guess I will go to bed now and try again tomorrow morning. Hats off to them, at least they got a toll free number!!!!!!!! L.W. Ladner B.C.

We've been travelling with Westjet since day one including doing all of our company travel with them and the biggest reason is their customer service and being able to get a hold of them at anytime. I guess now that they THINK they are one of the big boys in the air they can start treating customers like the other Canadian airline used to because after being on the hole for 90 minutes they have lost ANOTHER customer. Air Canada here we come.

After their lack of change management considerations when they decided to abruptly transition to a new transaction system, they totally disappointed me today with their lack of attention to detail. They are totally winning customers. My parents were going on an international flight to Vietnam and they started in Calgary, AB. I asked the check in personnel if the baggages were going to the final destination, Vietnam and he said yes. I found out later when my parents got to Vancouver en route to reconnect that the personnel put the wrong tags on the luggage. The destination of choice was Taipei. Come on what was going through his head when he processed the baggages. Ok, maybe we were suppose to check the baggage tags on the ticket, but come-on, how were we suppose to know this? Anyways A TIP FOR EVERYONE, MAKE SURE that the small print on your baggage tags has your final destination written on it, you gotta pick up their slack.
