I flew Westjet back from Hawaii. The plane left at about 10 or 11 pm. I have a terrible time sleeping on a plane and am lucky to even fall asleep on a redeye. Well this flight I lucked out! About 15 minutes after take-off I was asleep...yahhhh! A few minutes later a customer from the front seat of the cabin *I was in the back seat* walked back and started yapping with the flight attendant. I heard conversations about her pay scale, sports etc. She said "wooohooo" very loud at least 3 times. I shot her 2 "dirty looks" and she just looked at me like I was anonomous. They yapped until about 1.5 hours prior to landing in Vancouver. It was a little rough the first 1/2 of the flight. You'd think she would have told him to sit down when the pilot put on the seat belt light on! Now, I hold Westjet to a higher standard than other airlines, or did. Now I hold them below a "barely acceptable" standard. I complained to them and their response, in a nutshell, "yeah sorry, talked to the staff". That was it! We fly about 15 - 20 times a year. Only a substantially lower price would put us on Westjet again.

The custumer service on the phone is terrible. I missed my flight tonight ( I was 15 min late) and the custumer service was rude on the phone and said I would have to pay an other ticket for my flight. The custumer service at the airport is close and if it's true that I have to pay again then I will have to stay at the airport for one week cause I just don't have the money to pay a ticket twice. What are they thinking? That we are rich just like Westjet.

I have to say west jet has the worst customer service i have yet to run into.. I had a credit card problem that could have been easily rectified by west jet staff by sending a simple fax... instead i was told it was not their problem. I would suggest anyone that uses west jet ensure they use straight cash... because if you have a problem with a credit card.. there is NO HELP.

WESTJET is the best. I am petrified of flying and the attendants on Westjet always took the extra minute just to check up on me and see how I was doing. At one of the stop overs, the pilot even came up to me, had a seat before taking off (obviously) and reassured me that he too wanted to get home and be with his family and he certainly didn't feel like having any problems on his flight. That made perfect sense to me! He was reassuring, confident and that few extra minutes with me made my flight all that much better. I then had to use Air Canada afterwards and I was treated like a POS. Never again will I fly with Air Canada. NEVER! In fact i just booked a trip and paid a few extra dollars for Westjet all because of those few extra moments they take to make you feel welcome. I'm sorry, but that comment above in reference to the ladt splitting her tooth on a sandwich seems suspect to me. She didn't state what caused the damage did she? Hmmm. Seems to me someone was looking at miliking the system for a free trip if you ask me! Oh I could just see what kind of a passenger this lady must have been. I'm sure her vacation was not ruined as claimed. Oh, and as Dentist, a tooth breaking at the gum line is indicative of pre-existing dental problems and NOT as a result of a sandwhich. If you're going to BS, research it first and keep your hands in your pockets instead of looking for freebies because its people such as she who end up causing all of us to pay more as a result of bogus claims. Westjet are my provider of choice. Thank you!

I was conecting to WestJet (arriving on globespam from London) in Hamilton Ontario. The start was not very friendly, the front line agents are so agressive that I had to check in using self checking mashines instead of regular checking in. After I was checked in I had to go and see an agent at the counter where they asked me to lift my bags 3 times before they were able to put destination tags. Shirtly after your bags were checked, you are asked to go and lift your bags on the beg belt. I was schoked with WestJet custumer service (I travel to Canada 3x a year, and I made sure to book WestJet due to review on here), unfortunatly my airport experience did not prove that WestJet is about custumer service (I paid more then what aircanada offerd from Toronto plus I had to do everything my self). If you fly AirCanada you get full service, they take care of your luggage and they print your boarding passes (all airlines in Europe offer full service). The boarding was fine, fast and friendly. The flight crew was good as well, no much food selection, but they had free soft drinks and coffee which was nice. WestJet would be cool if they have full check-in service, untill they change that I am not using their service.

All I Can Say Is Go WestJet. I Used To Love Air Canada (Stupid Me) But Then I Became Intrested In Aircraft And Air Lines. So One Day I Went On Wikipedia.rog And Serched Info On Airlines In Canada, I Got A List Of Airlines, First One I Seen That I Knew Was Air Canada. Then I Seen WestJet. I Clicked On That One And Looked At The Areas They Serve. I Was Supprised To See My Hometown (St. John's) So A Few Months Later My Mother And Myself Decided To Visit My Sister In Calgary, She Went On Air Canada's Website. When I Seen Her On It, I Rememberd WestJet, I Said We Could Try Them For A Change, We Did And I Am Never Travelling Air Canada Again. For Two Reasons, - #1. WestJet Is Better - #2. In 2007 My Family (Mother, Father, And Myself) Were Returning Home (On Air Canada) From Houston Where We Spent 2 Weeks (One Of Witch Was On A Cruise) But Anyway We Flew From Houston-St. John's Via Toronto , Great Landing In Toronto We Even Left Early, But Landing In St. John's... Well... It Didn't Happen. Flight Crew Said We Would Go To Halifax And Upon Arrival We Would Be Greeted By Manegment And Staff, There Were Two Laidies Handing Out Paper With A Phone Number. That Was On A Sunday And They Said The Earliest We Would Get Out Would Be Next Saturday, OMG. WestJet Put All There Passengers Up In Hotels And Got Them Out On Tuesday, Air Canada Made Every Passenger Pay For A Hotel And They Didn't Get Us Out Of There Until Mondat A Week Later. My Family Thought We Wouldn't Get Out For A While That Same Monday So We Went Out Rented A Car And Got Alot Of Food, When We Got Back To The Hotel My Mother Called Air Canada For Info On Flight's And They They Said They Had Put One On Going To St. John's So After Spending All That Meney... Well... We Wern't Happy. So The Point Is Go WestJet And Go Air Canada ( I Mean Go Bankrupt).

LOVE WESTJET!!!
We have 3 kids, and fly only 4 or 5 times a year....so we are always comparing experiences so that when we book a flight, we are sure that we are getting the best value.
Westjet is marketed as a discount airline, but is frequently more expensive than Air Canada, United, or Alaska. That being said, we have paid the extra to fly Westjet on more than one occasion, simply because of how well they treat our kids.
The flight crew seems truly happy to have them on the plane, and has expertly calmed more than one apprehensive passenger sitting near us, offering such valuable bits of information as "no one wants the baby to stop crying more than the parents", and "be prepared to hear some kids cry during take-off/landing". It has diffused many a hostile situation, and now that our kids are a little older, they have been heard repeating that same advice when we are seated near little ones.
Our kids have always received such special treatment in the form of extra cookies (or the whole can of pop with a straw), suckers for landing, coloring books, etc. that we have not seen with any other airline, that we will always now go out of our way if need be to be on a Westjet flight. Kudos to the staff and management for bringing back the friendly skies!
